Abstract

We record two amphibian species for the first time from Vietnam: Bufo gargarizans from Ha Giang Province and Odorrana lipuensis from Cao Bang Province. Genetic divergence between the Vietnamese representatives and available sequences obtained from GenBank of the Chinese specimens are approximately 0.97% in Bufo gargarizans and 0.23% in Odorrana lipuensis from China, respectively. In addition, morphological and natural history notes of above-mentioned species are provided from Vietnam.
