Abstract

We record Minervarya chiangmaiensis for the first time from China and Myanmar based on two specimens collected from Yunnan Province, China and one specimen came from Sagaing region, Myanmar. It is also the first record of Minervarya in China and Myanmar. Neighbor-joining analysis indicated that these specimens clustered together with M. chiangmaiensis from Thailand with strong support value. Genetic divergences between these specimens and M. chiangmaiensis from the type locality range from 0.61% to 1.02%. Additionally, morphological notes of M. chiangmaiensis from China are provided.
