Blood Parasites of Tylototriton verrucosus (Caudata: Salamandridae)

Ritwik Dasgupta, D. P. Halder, B. Dasgupta

Haemogregarina rayi n. sp. showing erythrocytic schizogony are reported for the first time from a salamander viz. Tyiototriton verrucosus. Extracellular form apparently escaping from the RBC is considered to represent a gametocyte.
